After years of painstaking research and development, SunnoM has achieved breakthroughs in several key technologies, including high-performance sensor-sensitive materials and elastomeric materials, as well as sensor manufacturing processes and equipment. The company has obtained over 70 domestic and international patents and has successfully developed a series of high-performance sensors, including high-performance nanofilm pressure sensors, high-performance nanofilm torque sensors, and high-performance nanofilm shear-force sensors. Leveraging these advanced semiconductor process technologies—owned by the company under independent intellectual property rights—SunnoM can also manufacture high-performance nanofilm temperature sensors, humidity sensors, gas sensors, magnetic sensors, and other advanced sensor products. This will accelerate the development and breakthroughs of China’s domestic high-end sensor industry, laying a solid foundation for our country’s high-performance sensors to catch up with the world’s leading levels.
In January 2021, the Expert Committee for Evaluating Scientific and Technological Achievements—chaired by Academician Gui Weihua of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and hosted by the Productivity Promotion Center of the Hunan Provincial Department of Science and Technology—concluded that the overall technology of the Songnomo nanofilm pressure sensor has reached an internationally advanced level. In particular, its performance indicators regarding zero-point drift and operating temperature range have attained an internationally leading standard.
Sunnom Alliance is positioned at the high end of the market and, during the period when the country is implementing a new development paradigm featuring a domestic large-cycle and dual domestic-international cycles, has taken on the mission of achieving domestic substitution for high-end sensors. It is precisely this high standard of corporate positioning that drives Sunnom Alliance to strive—through R&D and manufacturing—to not only match but even surpass the performance indicators of advanced foreign products in high-end sensors. As a result, Sunnom Alliance consistently manufactures high-performance, dual-use sensor products adhering to military-grade quality standards.
The comprehensive accuracy of SunoMeng’s high-performance nanofilm pressure sensors reaches 0.02% of full scale, addressing critical “bottleneck” challenges in key sectors and major equipment in China. The 0–150 MPa high-performance hydrogen pressure sensor developed by SunoMeng fully meets the domestic demand for localization in China’s rapidly growing hydrogen energy industry. Furthermore, SunoMeng is currently developing an ultra-high-temperature, compact nanofilm pressure sensor capable of operating at 500°C, contributing to the domestic substitution of ultra-high-temperature pressure sensors in critical defense and national economic sectors such as aerospace.
Sensor Nobleman has launched high-performance nanofilm pressure sensors onto the market, breaking the long-term monopoly held by foreign companies in China’s high-end pressure sensor market. As a result, China has truly achieved domestic production of high-performance pressure-sensitive chips—components that have long been reliant on imports—and has successfully realized the domestic substitution of high-performance pressure sensors!
From then on, China’s aerospace, shipbuilding and naval vessels, aircraft, petrochemicals, construction machinery, thermal and nuclear power, transportation, energy, robotics, and other fields have truly entered an era of domestically produced, independently controllable high-performance pressure sensors, high-performance torque sensors, and high-performance sensors.

Innovation never stops, and transcendence knows no bounds.
In 2021, Sensor Nobleman leveraged its many years of R&D and manufacturing experience in high-performance nanofilm pressure sensors to enrich and expand the applications of nanofilm technology, moving beyond the narrow focus on “pressure” to encompass a broader dimension—“force.” As a result, the company successively launched domestically produced high-performance sensor products such as high-precision nanofilm torque sensors and nanofilm pin-force sensors.

The high-precision nanofilm torque sensor fills a gap in both domestic and international markets for nanofilm torque sensors. In just one year, it has achieved a historic breakthrough, attaining a combined accuracy of 0.06%FS without any compensation—thus propelling domestically produced torque sensors into the era of ultra-high precision at the ten-thousandth level. This sensor will help China’s aerospace, precision machinery, industrial robotics, and collaborative robotics industries realize precise force control, and will further enable high-end collaborative robots to achieve highly accurate and compliant motion control.

Songnomo's nanofilm technology boasts significant advantages in the research and development and manufacturing of sensors. As a result, these sensors are not affected by the creep and aging defects inherent in the traditional strain-gauge bonding process used in conventional torque and force sensors, greatly reducing hysteresis errors and temperature drift. The innovative sensing materials independently developed by Songnomo achieve atomic-level integration with elastomers, significantly enhancing the sensors' temperature performance. The successful application of this groundbreaking technology endows Songnomo’s nanofilm sensors with multiple outstanding features, including high precision, a wide operating temperature range, excellent long-term stability, compact size, low power consumption, and robustness against harsh environments. In the future, these sensors are bound to find broader applications and further expansion across an even wider array of fields.

An innovator and a pioneer.
Songnomo is stepping up its efforts in scientific research and development. In 2021, it successfully developed a domestically produced nano-film high-pressure common-rail sensor with a comprehensive accuracy better than 0.1% of full scale, capable of stable operation under ultra-high pressures up to 250 MPa. This breakthrough fills the gap in domestically produced high-pressure common-rail pressure sensors for pressures exceeding 200 MPa, marking another significant achievement in the localization of sensor products long monopolized by companies from the U.S., Japan, and Germany. To thoroughly address the monopoly issue, Songnomo is actively promoting the R&D and industrialization of high-pressure common-rail systems for diesel engines. Over the next three to five years, the company plans to invest 2 billion yuan to build the Hunan Industrialization Base for China’s high-pressure common-rail sensors. Through close collaboration with numerous domestic universities and research institutes, Songnomo aims to soon overcome the longstanding “bottleneck” challenge facing China’s high-pressure common-rail systems.

High-performance nanofilm pressure sensors, high-performance nanofilm torque sensors, high-performance nanofilm pin-force sensors, high-performance nanofilm common-rail high-pressure sensors... These domestically produced, high-end sensor products represent SunoMeng’s 2021 contribution to the entire province and the nation. SunoMeng has taken solid steps toward achieving domestic substitution for high-end sensors, becoming a pioneer in the localization of such sensors. SunoMeng consistently upholds its mission of promoting the “domestication” of China’s sensor industry, aligning its own corporate development with the province’s “Three Highs and Four New” strategic initiative. In doing so, it empowers intelligent manufacturing and industrial upgrading across the province and the nation, making positive contributions to helping China overcome the “bottleneck” challenges in high-performance sensors at an early date.
