The reporter learned on the 21st that the 4th SNEC (Shanghai New Energy Conference) International Hydrogen Energy and Fuel Cell (Dalian) Technology Conference closed on the 21st in Dalian, Liaoning Province. During the 3-day conference, academicians, experts and scholars from the industry discussed the current research and development status of hydrogen energy and fuel cells and the future industrialization development path under the current "dual carbon" background.
Hydrogen energy is known as one of the ultimate energy sources for human beings. It is a major strategic direction for the transformation of the global energy structure and has attracted the attention of all countries in the world. As an important way to efficiently utilize hydrogen energy, fuel cells have become the focus for countries to develop the hydrogen energy industry and seize the market.
Yi Baolian, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and a researcher of the Dalian Institute of Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences, said that the industrialization of fuel cell vehicles is a breakthrough for hydrogen energy applications. We should adhere to independent innovation, break through the necking technology, realize mass production of key materials and components, and greatly reduce fuel consumption. Costs of battery vehicles, hydrogen refueling station construction and hydrogen sources.
According to the "Energy-saving and New Energy Vehicle Technology Roadmap 2.0" released by the Chinese Society of Automotive Engineers in 2020, it is predicted that by 2035, the number of fuel cell vehicles in China will reach about 1 million, and commercial vehicles will realize the transformation of hydrogen power and complete hydrogen refueling. There are about 5000 stations. To achieve these goals, key technological innovations such as fuel cell core materials, hydrogen production and hydrogen refueling stations are very important.
Yi Baolian pointed out that at present, there are still problems such as high cost of fuel cell engines, few hydrogen refueling stations and high construction costs. For example, Yi Baolian said that the cost of building a hydrogen refueling station is as high as 12 million yuan (RMB, the same below) to 15 million yuan, and the hydrogen refueling cost is as high as 60 to 70 yuan per kilogram. Therefore, we must first realize the localization of key fuel cell materials and components, reduce the cost of fuel cell vehicles, reduce the construction cost of hydrogen refueling stations, and improve the relevant industrial chain.
Regarding the adjustment of China's future energy structure, Zhou Xiaoxin, academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and honorary president of the China Electric Power Research Institute, proposed that the carbon dioxide captured by thermal power plants should be used to produce gas (liquid) such as methane, methanol, and ammonia that are convenient for transportation and storage on a large scale. Fuels and chemical raw materials can replace fossil energy such as oil and natural gas, and can be used as an energy storage medium for a new power system with a high proportion of renewable energy in the future to cope with the imbalance between the supply and demand of energy and power in the medium and long periods.
Shi Dinghuan, honorary chairman of the SNEC conference, believes that with the support of many favorable policies, China's hydrogen energy science and technology is developing rapidly, and China's hydrogen energy industry has made more and more achievements in technological innovation, providing good conditions for industrial development. At present, efforts should be made to establish a sound hydrogen energy industry chain and continue to improve and innovate.
